Java Applets do not start with Google Chrome

    2015-04-29 14:30 by Janni

    EIBPORT knowledge base

    Applies to:

    • Browser: Chrome from Version 42
    • Java Version: 7.0, 8.0

    Reason:

In September 2013, Google announced plans to remove NPAPI support from Chrome by "the End of 2014", thus effectively dropping support for Silverlight, Java, and other NPAPI based plugins.
Recently, Google has revised their plans and now state that they plan to completely remove NPAPI by late 2015.

We are currently finishing a long-term solution which will be available shortly and will allow you to further use your Java visualisations and while having additional benefits.

In the meantime, you can still manually enable Java support in Google Chrome 42 and later with these additional steps:

    1. In your URL bar, enter: chrome://flags/#enable-npapi
    2. Click the Enable link for the Enable NPAPI configuration option
    3. Click the Relaunch button that now appears at the bottom of the configuration page.

    Update 3.3.0

    2014-12-22 10:41 by Janni

Version 3.3.0 is unfortunately defective. The staircase lighting timer function starts, when using the same input/ output group addresses, a continuous  sending of values (value 0).

Up to version 3.3.1, we recommend the following workaround:
Go to the service pages in EIBPORT. Disable all jobs as shown HERE.

Now you can call the editor in EIBPORT and lock with the gate group address the affected staircase lighting function or delete the job.
Then go and activate the jobs on the system pages again.

We regret, that despite intensive tests here in our house, this error has occurred and ask for your patience till the new release has been published.

    CUBEVISION APP

    2014-12-19 16:43 by WebAdmin

Finally! CUBEVISION now is available as an APP for Apple AppStore and Google Playstore. Thereby CUBEVISION scales automatically to the screen resolution and contains a optimised view for smaller displays ("Phone" View). By using the WebApp Technology the loading times are accelerated and swapping between different applications on mobile devices is made more comfortable. Addtionally CUBEVISION gets a "Central View" function with that arbitrary overall sights can be realised. Depending on the remote devices' resolution the following views are available:

New Central View symbols in the top barThe new Phone View optmised for smaller displays

CUBEVISION APP is working with the eibPort since firmware 3.3.0 and the CUBEVISION MODULE. Already existing CUBEVISION Projects from older eibPort versions are taken over by the update and can be used in the APP immediately.

Download the CUBEVISIN APP now for free in the Apple Appstore or Google Playstore

Please note: The current CUBEVISION APP version 1.0.10 does not allow switching when it is awaken from standby. The APP must be restarted. This behaviour will be fixed with the version 1.0.11.
